Letter From The Editors

The Grappler is back from summer vacation and ready to write!

First and foremost, The Grappler says goodbye to our co- Editor in Chief Trisha Mahoney as she embarks on a year in Germany. We welcome Jordan Scott Hardesty to the position. The Grappler looks forward to two more years with Jordan as Editor in Chief as he provides the team and readers with unique perspectives on dramaturgy, musical theatre, opera and more!

As we begin a period of turnover in staff this fall, we look back to our mission, which strives to create a brave space for DePaul students to tackle issues affecting their lives, especially, but not limited to, those concerning art and theatre. In order to uphold this mission, we must ask our writers to express use their individual experiences to shine light on topics that need to be made visible. This brings us to our theme this quarter: Visibility and Individuality.

We look forward to a quarter of reflection and representation!

-Bri and Jordan
